Eric Benisek
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Eric Benisek is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Klesis Advisors. In addition to his work with the firm, Eric is a longtime attorney and trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, bringing more than two decades of experience helping founders build, protect, scale, and transition their companies.
Eric is widely regarded as a practical and strategic legal partner to entrepreneurs navigating the challenges of building businesses from the ground up. His work spans corporate formation and governance, financing transactions, intellectual property strategy, and preparing companies for liquidity events and acquisitions. He has extensive experience advising companies on the commercialization and protection of intellectual property, including licensing, joint ventures, distribution agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to transactional work, Eric has represented clients in complex intellectual property matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and technology disputes.
Eric is a Partner at Vasquez Benisek & Lindgren LLP, a firm he co-founded in 2008. Prior to that, he practiced at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, one of Silicon Valley’s leading technology law firms, and later at Morgan Miller Blair.
Eric earned his B.A. from the University of California, Davis and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the USF Law Review and received the Edward J. McFetridge Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. He was also recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Intellectual Property.
